Tigers Compete at Washburn Open
Topeka, KS. — Fort Hays Tech Northwest Track & Field competed at the Washburn Open on Friday and Saturday.
Sprints & Field Events:
Raheem McCalman and Jeremy Charles competed in the 60-meter dash prelims, with times of 6.84 and 7.18 seconds. Charles' time would qualify him for the 60m semifinals, where he would run a time of 6.87 seconds, falling a few spots short of qualifying for the finals.
In the 200m dash, Jeremy Charles placed 25th, with a time of 21.84 seconds.
Middle & Long Distance:
In the 800m run, Salisu Habibu placed 39th, with a time of 1:57.59 seconds.
In the Men's 4000m Distance Medley, the Tigers finished 19th, with a time of 10:48.80. The relay started with Zakaria Anou, then Noah Mitchell as the second leg, Salisu Habibu as the third, and Ahmed Belouaer as the anchor.
Tech's next meet will be back at Washburn for the Ichabod Invitational on February 13th and 14th.
