Bio
Fort Hays Tech Northwest has announced the hiring of Jordon Klein as the Tigers' next head women's basketball coach. Klein joins the Tigers from the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith, where he was an assistant to the women's basketball program. While at UAFS, Klein helped develop the MIAA Freshman of the Year, Anna Trusty, in his lone season. The Lions would finish the season 18-11, their first winning season since 2017, finishing 5th in the MIAA after the preseason poll projected them to finish 12th. The Lions shifted to conceptual offense during Coach Klein's time and finished Top 30 in the country in scoring (73.4 ppg).
Before his UAFS, Klein was an assistant to the men's basketball program at Cornell College during the 2023-24 season. There, he helped coach two All-Midwest Conference guards in his lone season with the Rams while also serving as the Head JV Coach.
Klein also spent three years as the varsity assistant basketball coach at Nathan Hale High School while also working as the CFO for a media company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Klein brings over ten years of corporate sales and finance experience with him to Goodland.
Klein has also worked as a clinician for Snow Valley Basketball School and USA Basketball Gold Camps. Klein played collegiately at the University of Wisconsin-Manitowoc and Fox Valley, and graduated Summa Cum Laude with his BA in Organizational Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
