Lady Tigers Compete at Jimmy May Open
Baldwin, KS. — Fort Hays Tech Northwest Women's Wrestling competed at the Jimmy May Open on Saturday.
Individual Results:
Faith Torres (124 lbs) went 1-2, winning one of her opponents by fall in the second period. Her two losses came to NAIA opponents.
Hadassah Waak (131 lbs) went 1-2, winning over one of her opponents by fall while losing to the #5 and #6 ranked wrestlers from Southeast CC.
Lindsay Henggeler (138 lbs) went 4-2, winning her first match by tech fall before falling in the second round. In the consolation bracket, Henggeler pinned her next three opponents before losing her final match by tech fall.
Lydia Rigby (180 lbs) went 0-2, losing both her matches by fall.
Women's wrestling will compete next on March 6th and 7th at the NJCAA Women's Wrestling Championships in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
